Spring has begun. The warm weather, the green leaves starting to appear, and the lack of snow all say it. The time has come for people to rejoice from the cold of winter. The days are growing longer, clocks have been moved an hour ahead, and the plants can rejoice in rain. There has been enough effort wasted trying to salvage the winter and bring snow this year, but now we must enjoy the warmth of the world as it is alight once more. - R.C

I found some flowers poking out of the ground near this tree that were planted there in the spring. I think they are growing good because of the warm weather and because they get a lot of sun. I think they are tulips or tulipa. When the weather gets warmer they will probably flower. SB
This is a re type of my book talk because some how it did not post and is no longer here
People say that it "snowed" in Boston over break, but that "snow " has turned into downright ice. The hot sun beats down during the day, melting the top layer of snow, which then freezes over night. This repeats over and over until it forms rock solid "cement snow". This snow is highly dangerous because it is very hard and slippery.
J.S. It's Winter! A time of snowball fights, skiing, sledding, etc. But, with every winter, it will get very cold as well. A few days ago it was 10 degrees fahrenheit. Also, the leaves are all gone except for the coniferous tree leaves making the landscape seem much more barren. The days are shorter as well, with the winter solstice just recently, giving the days only about 9 hours of sunlight. So go during that time, bundle up and enjoy the opportunities given by this season!
